At the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, WWE Champion AJ Styles will defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura in a WrestleMania rematch, but the circumstances surrounding the contest will be very different than their epic showdown at The Showcase of the Immortals.

After his triumphant showing in the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, the charismatic Nakamura earned the right to a dream match against The Phenomenal One on The Grandest Stages of Them All, but moments after Styles won the hard-fought encounter, The King of Strong Styles suddenly struck the low blow heard round the world and forever tarnished the instant classic that the WWE Universe had waited so long to see.

While Styles resolved himself to the explanation that Nakamura had simply shown his true colors in the weeks that followed on SmackDown LIVE, the nefarious Artist deflected his motivation by claiming that he didn’t speak English. Instead, he chose to let his action do the talking for him by attacking Styles on two separate occasions, even ruining a fantasy showdown between the reigning WWE Champion and the returning Daniel Bryan.

So, when the two adversaries meet at the historical Saudi Arabia event, it will once again be a battle of unmatched talent and explosiveness. However, Nakamura’s betrayal has now made the matchup personal, and both Superstars will be fighting for something far greater than a victory or even a title. They will be fighting for a reckoning.
